User experience & SEO – FoundIt! presents at ‘Brighton SEO’

Last Friday saw some 2,000 of the best and brightest minds in SEO gather for one of the biggest gatherings of digital marketing professionals in Europe, brightonSEO. For anyone who doesn’t know what it is (and given how packed the event was I would frankly eat my hat if such a person exists!), brightonSEO is a one-day search marketing conference and series of training workshops that takes place twice a year and is held, not surprisingly, in Brighton.

The Greenlight SEO team from our sister agency regularly attends the conference and having previously heard great things about the event, this year many of the FoundIt! team decided it was about time we join in the fun! It was also the first time we have spoken at the event with FoundIt! CEO & founder, Warren Cowan presenting ‘Yes, the customer IS always right: How giving customers what they want looks after your SEO.’

In his presentation Warren discussed the importance of using customer intent data, to understand what your customers are looking for on and off site, and using that data to reflect a relevant experience back to them – this means having content for everything a shopper could ask for, navigation that is intuitive, easy to use and understand, and the items a customer is most likely to want are featured most prominently.

brightonSEO rocked and we’re already looking forward to the next event later this year, in a brand new home. See you there!
